Join us to make new memories next season...

Hello everyone! Well, it is Monday March 19th, and we are closed for the season here at Kendall Square Community Skating. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all of you so much for coming out here this season and making it a fun and memorable time for everyone who came skating. I think you would all agree that there is just nothing like being able to skate outside under the big open sky. Make sure you keep us in mind for next season. We will be updating our website with details about next season as soon as possible, so don't forget about us. Have a great summer and now that the skates are put away for the season, start dusting of that kayak or canoe you have tucked away in the garage and come out and see us at one of our three canoe and kayak locations in the Boston area. Details can be found at www.paddleboston.com Thanks again everyone and..................Happy Spring!

Late Opening on March 17

Due to the snow/rain combo we received last night, we're still working the ice surface in preparation for opening today. We plan to open as soon as possible, which may not be until tomorrow (which is our final day of the season!). Give us a call with questions, and we'll try to update this blog as conditions change.

Welcome Cambridgeport School!!!!!

The rink is all a bustle today, as we host the Cambridgeport School for the second time this season. They are a great group of kids, and they are led by a fantastic staff! It's a beautiful day for skating and as you can see, there is plenty of fun still to be had at Kendall Square Community Skating. We will be closing for the season after this weekend, so you better get your skates on for one last skate around the rink. We are open until 8pm tonight, so we hope you will join us. Happy Skating everyone!

Due to close for the season...

First, I would just like to thank everyone for coming to Kendall Square Community Skating and making a good first season open. We will be closing on March, 18, weather permitting of course, as usual. If, for any reason, we close earlier than that we will make sure there is a message via phone and here, in our blog. We hope you will also join us on Thursday, March 15th, for some Free Skating, as well as some free hot chocolate and cookies. There will also be some performances by Frozen Frog Productions, as well as the Boston Skating Club. We will also feature a limited number of free skating lessons. So, as always, Happy Skating, it was wonderful skating with all of you this season.

57 Degrees, and still Skating!!!

Hello folks! Yup, it was a high of 57 degrees here in the Kendall Square area today, and we have never had a better day for skating. The ice is holding up beautifully and you almost don't need a jacket to be out there! It is late afternoon, so it will be getting a little more cool as the night progresses, but still very comfortable. I was just out there myself earlier today, and it was priceless. So come on down and join the skating frenzy, we're open until 9pm tonight! Happy Skating!
