UPDATE: rink set up ON SCHEDULE, so far...

Thanks for checking in everyone! Things are moving right along with our setup process at the rink this season. The plumbing is finished, the chiller is on, and we are almost ready to make ice. This weekend looks like it will be too warm to make ice, so I don't think we will be able to get started with that process until the outside temperature gets closer to the mid 30's overnight, but I am hopeful that we will be under way, making ice by the beginning or middle of next week, after the holiday weekend. At this rate, I am anticipating an opening date of sometime the week of Monday December 5th. Stay tuned for updates! We also hope you join us for our 6th Annul Kendall Square Holiday on Ice, scheduled for Saturday, December 17th. We will be hosting FREE admission for ice skating ALL DAY, and there will be a FREE holiday themed show starting promptly at 2pm. We will also have free refreshments for everyone to enjoy! We hope you make Kendall Square, Holiday on Ice a tradition for you, your family, and friends for many years to come. Happy Skating!

WHEN WILL KSCIS BE OPEN FOR THE SEASON???????

Hello Everyone, and thank you for checking our blog, and your interest in the Kendall Square Community Ice Skating Rink. As you can see in the above picture, we are working on it, but we are not quite ready to open yet. We always try to open the rink as close to December 1st as possible, due to a very involved set up process that can sometimes pose challenges. As soon as we have any information about exactly when we will actually be able to open, we will be updating the website, facebook, twitter, and this blog, so those will be the best methods of checking on set up progress. Please also feel free to email or call the rink anytime. If someone is there to answer, they would be happy to give you an update. We look forward to skating with you soon! Happy Skating!

Save the date! 6th Annual Kendall Square Holiday On Ice

Save the Date! Our 6th Annul Kendall Square, Holiday On Ice will be on Saturday, December 17th. Free ice skating admission will start at 11am, and the show will start promptly at 2pm. Refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you and your family, and friends to help us celebrate the opening of the new skating season.
